Dawson

Dawson is here!  After 20 hours of labor and than a c-section, he arrived!  Jesse and I are very happy that he is finally home.  After Dawson was born he started to breathe shallow and had to be put in the nicu.  He had to be in there for a week.  That was the hardest week ever!  It was emotionally draining.  They said he had fluid in his lungs and the long labor had put stress on him.  He was on oxygen as well and we had to bring him home on oxygen.  We went to the doctor today, and we are so happy that he doesn't need oxygen anymore!  Yeah!  We love having him home, he is such a blessing in our lives.  We love holding him and often times Jesse and I have a hard time deciding who gets to change and feed him.  ha!  We love him!
Daddy and Dawson's first picture!  Mommy was out!
My favorite pictures are of these two together!  I can't get enough!
This is the cradle that I used when I was little.  He loves it.
                                                                    Going home!

                                                                No more oxygen!

40 weeks!

Well I am 40 weeks and one day!  I wonder when this little guy will show up!  My doctor said no later than the 12th.  I am hoping I don't have to wait that long though!  We will see.  I took some cute photos of the baby room.  I love it, it turned out so cute.  Jesse hung the pictures last night.  We are getting a crib a little later and the room will be done.  The blanket on the rocking chair is what Jesse's mom made and it is amazing!

Last night Jesse and I went to a dollar movie and than to California Pizza Kitchen after.  It was fun to just hang out with the hubby.  :)  Might have been the last date night before little boy gets here.  We are excited!

Mother

Today I was sitting there thinking.....I am almost a mother.  What does that mean to me?  It means a lot.  When I think of a mother I think of wiping tears away, changing diapers, rocking baby to sleep, singing lullabys, sharing everything, tickling toes, reading the same book over and over again, playing peek a boo, chasing naked bums around the house, and so much more.  All of these things are important.  Over all though I hope I can be a loving, sharing, caring, good mother.  I hope I can love him and give him everything he needs.  Teach him to love the Lord and be a good person.  I already love this little boy so much.  Jesse and I are very excited for this little spirit to enter into our lives.  We feel so blessed that the Lord trusts us with this little spirit.  I pray we can raise him the way the Lord needs us to.
This precious baby has already taught me so much just being inside of me.  Whenever I feel a little kick I remember what is important in life.  It isn't about how pretty your hair is, how big your house is or how much money you make.  It's so much more and this little boy reminds me of that.  Jesse has taught me so much too, he is such a wonderful man.  He has taught me to not stress the small stuff, learn to laugh at yourself, don't take everything so serious, never raise your voice, do your best always and just enjoy life  :)  I love this man.  I'm so grateful he picked me to his wife.
I love Jesse

Summer Sun

The Fourth of July was a lot of fun.  We went to Laura's house on the 3rd and had a little camp out in the backyard.  Steve set up the tv outside and all the kids huddled around to watch a movie while others were inside coloring a huge pioneer poster that Laura bought.  I will admit the poster was my favorite part.  When Kayla colored a boy with a green face I quickly said, "she ruined our masterpiece!"  Someone said that pioneers got sick all the time though and this kid was definitively sick.  Ha ha we all laughed.  The poster looked great!
Jesse and I even set up our little tent and slept outside.  It was fun to sleep outside and hard at the same time, being 8 months pregnant.  I woke up about ten times, but it was worth it.  In the morning Laura had a yummy breakfast.  Including; pancakes, bacon, fruit, egg mcmuffins and eggs.  Jesse I think had ten pancakes  :)  His favorite.
On the fourth Jesse and I went with Chuck, Jacob, Melanie, Jake and Ethan to a little lake in Honeyville.  They all skiied as I watched, they all did great!  We liked the paddle boat and the ramp.  The ramp was fun to slide down on.  We did that over and over again.  Fun fun day at the lake!  When we got back Lori had made a delicious meal.  We ate under the fireworks, which was so cool!  Then to top off the night Jacob did a great firework show for us out front.  Fun day!

I also went to Lagoon this past week.  It was fun to watch the kids on the rides.  Jade was funny.  She hated the rides and would cry on them, then she would want to go again!  Ha!  I got to ride the merry go round.  Whooo hoo.   Ha.  It was fun.

    Also
...... Big news!  Jesse and I bought a home!  :)  We love it so far.

One more pic....me at 36 weeks!  We get to meet him soon!

Summer fun

I am now 34 weeks!  I still feel like I have forever left because I am feeling huge!  I'm sure it will fly by so fast though.  I have lots and lots to do still.  We move this weekend, so I'm going to keep very busy!
This weekend was fun.  I had my kids all day Saturday and Sunday.  On Saturday I took them to Seven Peaks water park.  It was so much fun.  Jesse, Chuck and Jacob came too.  Brody loved Jacob!  He kept asking where he went whenever he was out of sight.  Piper loved the water and couldn't get enough of it.  She is such a good little swimmer.  She loves jumping off the side into the water.
After we just went back to their house and hung out.  Jesse is so cute with the kids.  They love him.  He always wants to hold Piper and she says no.  Haha it makes Jesse sad.  I just laugh.  :)  He is going to be such a cute daddy.  He can get her to laugh so hard.

I really am missing these kids so much already.  It makes me sad that I won't see them everyday anymore.  I just have to remember that I am entering a new chapter in my life and I wouldn't want it any other way.  I am so excited for little boy Vaughan to get here.

Life Lately

Jesse has been working so hard on pools lately!  He has been gone a lot of nights and weekends.  He is such a hard worker and I'm grateful for him and all he does.  Yesterday he came home with a huge wrap around pillow I have been wanting!  I was so excited and I slept very well last night.  He is so sweet to me.  :)
I am 30 Weeks today!  Only ten left!  Time does fly.  Jesse and I are so excited to be able to hold our little boy and have him be a part of our lives.  I'm getting big quick!  ha!  It's fun to have a little baby inside of me and I absolutely love feeling him kick!  I always try to get Jesse to feel him kick, but he always seems to stop kicking when Jesse puts his hands on my big belly.
Jesse and I really like the name Kimball, but are still thinking of other names as well.  Any suggestions?!  I feel so blessed to have this little guy inside of me and I'm getting excited to meet him!

Hike

I am so glad that it is finally getting warmer and nice outside!  I take my nanny kids to the park everyday!  Piper loves feeding the ducks!  She is so cute.  All day she says, "park" until we end up there.  Brody is a typical boy and usually ends up with dirt everywhere and sometimes even getting wet from the pond.  The day usually ends with him begging me to let him take a stick home.  I usually give in and we end up with a stick in the car.  Love that kid.

With the weather getting nice, Jesse and I went on a little hike a while ago.  It was still a little cold, but not bad at all.  I couldn't make it to the top, but it was nice to get out and enjoy the mountains.

Another fun thing Jesse and I did was we went to park city for the day about two weekends ago.  It was so fun!  We first went to the outlets and got a few cute things for our baby boy and than we went to main street and walked around.  We even found a magnet to add to our collection on our fridge.  :)
When we got hungry we ate at a yummy pizza place and just hung out.  In one store we found some really funny bear hats.  They even had mittens that looked like paws.  We were laughing as we tried them on and couldn't resist growling "Grrrrr!"  I love spending time with my hubby.  It was too much fun!  Love him!
