Christmas

"Maybe Christmas means a little more......"  Christmas was wonderful this year.  I had so much fun watching Dawson enjoy family, toys and getting a lot of attention!

I've thought a lot about what Christmas is really about this year.  To me it is celebrating our Savior and really truley showing Him that we love him by serving others.  I'm so grateful for my little family this Christmas season.

We went up to Jesse's parents house for Christmas Eve!  We spent the night and had so much fun!!!

We had a nice little program.  We read of Christ's birth and sang songs.  Lori and Jacob played a really pretty song on the piano.
 Santa!
"We are excited for Santa to come!"

After we put in the "Elf" and snuggled up and watched it.  (I was asleep in 10 min!)
I woke up at 7:30ish....and I was so excited I wanted Dawson to wake up!  He woke up shortly after and had a quick bottle and we all went downstairs to see if Santa came!
And he did!....

He needed some cuddles before opening his gifts

He loved the stocking the most.

 Everyone!
After opening gifts for a while we took Dawson outside and let him play in the snow.

I thought this pic was so funny....Dawson is playing with Ethen's toy and Ethen is playing with Dawson's!  haha!
We played a quick game and than we were off to my Mom's house!
He fell asleep instantly!
Than at my Mom's house we ate yummy food, played lots of games, talked and opened presents!

My mommy and Sophie!  Sophie always gets spoiled
These two are so cute and fun to watch together
Daddy got a shovel that Dawson didn't want to leave alone!
 The two love birds!
So one of my favorite memories of this Christmas was when Jesse and I played hide and seek with a bunch of the kids.  We played for almost an hour!  It was really fun getting into it and watching the kids love it!  Jesse and I had some good hiding places!  (I got smooshed into a very small cabnet!)  hahah!  Jesse also helped me crawl into a box and he put stuff on top of the box so it looked like I wasn't in there.....it took the kids a while to find me!
I'm so grateful for Christ and hope that I can better serve Him this upcoming year.

Santa Baby

Christmas time this year is so much fun.  Dawson is loving it.  He is so curious about everything.
 Santa Baby!!!!
Last night we went and saw the lights down town.  It was fun to go as a little family.  I loved the set up of Christ's birth.  I loved how President Monson says.....we need to have the christmas spirit all year long, even when the lights are all put away.  I want to be better all year long.  I want to do more service, love my family more, and just be a better Annie.

So Jesse and I loved just watching Dawson walk around!  He looked so cute in his scarf!  After we went and got donuts and hot coco!  Such a fun night.
We love to see the temple!

This picture is right after I put up our tree!  He loves the tree and loves to point and say, "Tree!"
Jesse couldn't wait to take Dawson outside to play in the snow when we had our first snow fall.
Of course Jesse was trying to teach him to eat the snow.....typical Jesse  :)  (such a good dad!  That must be taught!)

Dawson didn't love that he couldn't move good.  haha!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving this year was perfect.  Jesse, Dawson and I went and picked up my friend, Amy at the airport around 11.  Amy is my best friend and I am so excited to have her in town for a whole month!!!!  We are going to have some crazy times I'm sure!  Anyways....we picked her up and took her to her parent's house to suprise them for Thanksgiving!  She brought some fast food from North Carolina and had Jesse put it on the porch and ring the door bell and ran.  They were so confused!  Than Amy poped out of the bushed dressed as a reindeer!  Her mom was sooo excited!  They hugged and cried for a good five minutes!  It was so cute and fun to watch them.  They are both amazing people.  Amy hasn't been home for Thanksgiving in 7 years so it was neat.
Than we headed to Jesse's parents house for a yummy feast.  It was such a yummy feast too!  Jesse's mom is an amazing cook!  I can only hope to be half as good of a cook as she is one day.  We ate and enjoyed each others company.  Than we played games.  Jenn and Brad and Addie were there too, which was so fun because we don't get to see them a lot.  Addie is getting sooo big and adorable!  Her and Dawson love each other.

I am sooo grateful for my family!
This picture proves how hard it is to get a picture of these two together!  They are still cute!

Lori pulled out a bunch of train toys and the boys were having fun with that.

I was sad I didn't get a pic of everyone!  I am so grateful for Jesse's family though, they are the best!
Dawson got lots of love!  Hugs everywhere!  I'm so grateful for this snuggly little guy.
Jesse spent the night at his parents and Dawson and I were able to go and say hi to my family.  Dawson was very tired.  :)

November

I am sitting here typing, looking out the window.  It is a beautiful morning.  It is raining and the leaves are all vibrant.  A lot of them have fallen off, but the strong ones hang on tight to the last little bit of beauty that they have left.  I am learning to love all the seasons and all the memories that they bring with them.  My sweet baby is asleep upstairs; I can hear his soft breathing.  Last night was a good night.  Jesse and I made an apple pie as our cute little Dawson sat in his high chair eating a chocolate chip cookie.  Jesse helped cut up the apples as I did the crust and topping.  At one point I helped with the apples and managed to cut my pinky finger.  Every “a” I am typing hurts.  After we had put the pie in the oven I started to smell something burning.  The pie was leaking and the bottom was burning.  Jesse and I had to clean out the oven.  Our house was very smoky.  Let me just tell you though, the pie was worth it!  So delicious and I don’t usually like apple pie.  It was fun cooking with my hubby.  I love my little family and I love our little family moments that we share together.  Even the small silly moments like making an apple pie and watching our little boy eat a cookie.  Life is good.  Remember to enjoy the small moments Annie.

Halloween party!

I'm just going to warn you right now that I'm going to be posting a lot of pics!  Jesse, Dawson and I had a very eventful weekend!  We had our family Halloween party on friday and it was such a blast!  I look forward to this party all year!  Here is the whole gang.  We missed my mom, Steve and Monte.

We had yummy food, games and awesome costumes!

These two were both dragons!  so cute!  Dawson and Jensen
Love the tail!

Jesse and I were scary skeletons.  I was a little worried that Dawson might be scared of us, but he just kept laughing at us!  Dawson was a dragon.  Jesse looks so scary in this pic!

The next morning Jesse, Dawson and I went to the pumpkin walk.  I have been going for a long time now and I always think it's cool.  Dawson liked it too.  We got some really funny pictures!

 Dawson is Yoda!
He is looking so big to me!
I couldn't stop laughing at this one!

I thought this one was cute, the pumpkins were carebears!

Than on Sunday we went to Laura's house to carve pumpkins and eat soup!  It is tradition to do this on the sunday before Halloween.  It was fun.  My pumpkin is always kind of boring.....

Laura always throws a good party!
 Jesse is silly
 Everyone carving!
I thought Jade looked so cute coloring her pumpkin!
Than Jesse and I went outside and let Dawson play in the leaves!

We had to leave Laura's house early, so I didn't get to see how all the pumpkins turned out.  Jesse didn't get to carve one either, oh well he didn't care.  :)  We were able to go to Jesse's Grandparents house and have FHE with the family.  It was fun to see everyone and I was able to snap a four generation pic!  :)
That ended our weekend!  It was fun to spend this weekend with family!  We had a good one!  Now Dawson can't wait to go trick or treating on Halloween night!  :)

He loves waving bye bye!!!!

Craft time

My sister Laura gave me a really cute little rocking chair.  It was pink, so I painted it blue and wrote Dawson's name on it.  I had a fun time doing it.  I managed to get paint all over the place too, ops.  Oh well.  I still have paint on my wrist that won't come off!  ha!  Dawson loves this chair.  He sits and reads books in it, it is adorable.  He also rocks in it.

This little boy is so excited for Halloween!  He is going to be Dawson the Dinosaur!  Roar!
 Love these two
I think this pic is cute.  He is loving books lately.

 Pic of us three!  :)

Bloody mouth and pumpkin bread

So I'll explain the title of this blog.....yesterday I had just changed Dawson and he was running around the kitchen (we were at Piper and Brody's house) and Dawson felt smack on his face.  They have hard wood floors, so I picked him up and immediatly saw blood in his mouth.  I told Brody to hurry and get me a tissue and and I wiped his mouth.  I could see a lot of blood by his upper teeth and it looked like he cutt his mouth.  (The part of your lip where skin connects the lip to your mouth)  I called Jesse and told him to come over.  Luckly it was 4 p.m. so he was able to come.  Jesse wasn't worried at all and said it didn't even look bad.  I insisted that we take him to an instacare just to be looked at.  Jesse didn't think it was necessary, but took him anyways because I was being a silly overly worried mommy.  :)  He took him and the doctor said that Dawson's mouth would heal on it's own and he would be fine.  Phew.  I know it wasn't that big of a deal, but it was still scary to me!  Jesse was great to help me out.  Glad this little guy is still smiling and dancing.  He seriously cried for two seconds, he is such a trooper.

Today was a rainy fall day.  I loved it.  We woke up and went to the gym, came home and took a nap, and now we are making pumpkin bread and dancing to music.   :)  We are loving fall time!  Dawson has got some seriously good dance moves.

Hope it is yummy!
Have a good day!  :)
I had to add this pic....love those blue eyes and two little teeth :)
